My Minions!! Halloween 2011

I had these great ambitions and plans to make Halloween costumes for Haddyn and Stetson like I do every year, but having twins 2 weeks before Halloween put a little crap in my giddy-up. They both wanted to be minions from Despicable Me and I had gone through all of the trouble of buying everything for the costumes and making my husband and children consume a close to lethal amount of cheese balls, so they were going to happen! So, we all came home with our two beautiful new additions to the family the night before Halloween with no costumes made. Hmm...
Well, Scott being the talented and sweet husband that he is knew I wasn't going to be able to feed, change, pump, etc and still get two little minion heads constructed in time...so he took over!! I instructed and he constructed. We made a great team, but he did all of the work! They turned out soooo cute! The best part---under $10 a piece!! Look close...Stetson's "bucket" is an upside down Winnie the Pooh hat. HA!
The kids had fun, but poor Stets was not feeling well and he and I actually ended up in the emergency room that night afraid he had pneumonia. Stupid evening medical clinic. That's a story for another day, but let's just say a woman who delivered twins two weeks before and JUST got her babies home from NICU does not deal well with being told her 2 year old is in respiratory distress and needing to be admitted to the hospital when in fact, his lungs are completely clear and he merely has a upper respiratory infection...AKA--a cold. Awesome. Let's just say we won't be going back to that clinic!
Anyway, I loved the costumes and I'll include a cute pic of the babies too, even though they didn't dress up ;)
Crue on Left, Case on Right---Look at those double chins and bellies!! The other day Scott was talking about how funny it is that they have gained all of their weight in their face and belly and still have chicken legs and I said, "It's cause they're Moulton's!" ha,ha I'm so funny :) Well, I'm sure glad they are Moulton's. I think we make pretty darn cute kids myself!

We're Home!

Alright, so I'm almost a week behind on this post...but get used to it! ha,ha We got to bring our sweet little guys home last Sunday evening and it has been a whirlwind of a week for our entire house. The boys are doing GREAT though and have passed their birth weights already!!! As of Wednesday Case weighed 5 lbs 15 oz and Crue weighed 6 lbs 2 oz. I'm so proud of them! They are doing a little better at nursing every day, but I sure do hope they will eventually catch on enough to be full time breast feeders or it will be a long year of me pumping every 3 hours. ugh! Scott is the best help ever and has been off all week, but we will all be so sad for him to go back to work on Monday. Stetson is as easy going as ever and pretty much just rolls with the punches of life. Haddyn is struggling a bit and therefore the entire family is struggling :) I love her little perfectionist self, but as much as I know what to expect with her, I don't have any idea how to make life easier for her! I just pray she will find our new "routine" quickly and get her overflowing drama and tears under control...for her sake and her parent's sake! :) We love her!!
I will be back soon to post some pictures of everyone, especially those ever growing and changing new babies.
Oh yah, just a side note, speaking of our sweet Haddyn. Everyone in the house except me and the babies have been sick this week (another super fun element to our crazy week). Anyway, that has included a nice batch of diarrhea. (sorry to inform you of that, but it's pertinent info, I swear) So, as I was saying, the other morning Haddyn called me into her room saying she needed to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, she didn't make it quite fast enough. As she finished up her business, she headed into the bedroom to lay in bed with Scott with only a shirt on. When Scott asked her where her panties were Haddyn simply replied with her one eye squinting and her fingers about 1/2 an inch apart, "They have a lit-tle bit of fungicide in them." NO idea where she got that word from, but it was hilarious!
Pics and Halloween post to come soon.....

Progress!!!

Just a little update:

Both boys are off of their IV's!!!! Yay! So happy not to see an IV in their head or hand today and have one less cord attached!
Also, the temp in their isolates is down to 84.5 and 85.3 (ish). That is down from 97 when they first arrived at the NICU.
Case is now taking 51cc of milk and will reach his goal amount at his 2 AM feeding tomorrow morning. Crue is up to 49cc and will reach his goal amount at his 8:30 feeding tomorrow morning. So far they are both tolerating the increased amounts and although they do get tired and sometimes struggle a little to finish, they are in fact finishing...so that's all that matters!! Case is down to 5 lbs even and Crue is down to 5 lbs 5 oz, but they should start to come back up once they are taking in their goal amounts each feeding.
I get to give them their first sponge bath tomorrow since their IV's are out and that will be fun. Oh yah, and their bilirubin #'s continue to increase, but they are not high enough they have needed to treat them with the light yet.
My Mom had our other little ones until today, which was so great to help us adjust a little and help me heal a little. Scott will go back to work tomorrow and take Haddyn to Burley Tuesday, while Stets will stay with me in Pocatello. We'll adjust one kid at a time, but I am sure going to miss them :( My hubby is definitely my stronghold. He is amazing.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers...we have felt them and appreciated them. So far, so good with these strong little guys and we just keep praying they will continue to do well and come home soon and complete our little family. (That is not so little anymore!)

Case in clothes!

Crue being burped--apparently he had a better idea of fun at that moment :)

Pics To Go With Last Post

Our heaven sent baby boys...

Finally back together...Case-Crue

One happy mommy!

Case says "What up?"

Crue says "Sleep, that's what up."

Kelli and Meds=A Foggy Daze

So, apparently I was a little more out of it on Tuesday than I realized. I talked to numerous people that I don't recall having any conversations with and also got a few pieces of information a little bit "off" in my early morning post :)

We have officially named the boys: Case Jeram Moulton and Crue Scott Moulton.
Case was baby A born at 7:38 am and weighed 5 lbs 12 oz at 18.5 inches long.
Crue was baby B (lodged in Mommy's ribs) born at 7:40 am and weighed 6 lbs 0 oz at 20 inches long.
So, there is the updated and CORRECT info :) Needless to say, I don't handle medication well. It was a very stressful day for all of us and not one we ever want to repeat. We are so thankful that our sweet babies are doing so well and for all of the help we had from the doctors, nurses, family, friends and our ward. Haddyn and Stetson are very excited to have new brothers, but don't fully understand why life is the way it is right now.
Mommy is slowly recovering and has decided that I would rather deliver twice than have a c-section. However, I'm thankful we had a the option we did in the situation we were in.
The babies are now eating and they have their intake increased by 2cc per feeding at this point. They both were able to nurse at one feeding today (Crue took 10cc and Case nursed 6cc) and they are both tolerating everything well. Without any hang-ups, they should have their IVs discharged within about 3 days.
That's the update for now. I'll post pics soon. I got to hold them together for a bit today. It was amazing. Our family is so blessed! Happy late 4th Birthday to my sweet Haddyn too--her bday was yesterday. What a birthday present to get one baby brother for your 2nd birthday and two baby brothers for your 4th birthday!!! NOT planning on continuing that trend!

They're Here!!

Well, due to an unforeseen infection and more preterm labor, our little sweeties arrived by c-section yesterday morning on October 18, 2011 at 7:38 and 7:40 A.M. They weighed 5 lbs 11 oz and 5 lbs 14 oz and I just realized I never did hear a length. They were flown out of Burley to Pocatello to the NICU because their little lungs weren't quite performing up to par. Before Scott left them to come home they were off all oxygen, breathing fine on their own and will start some feeding later today w/ my milk I've been pumping. This little guy is Case and the next pic is sounding like he's gonna be Crue, but we still aren't 100% on the middle names for sure. Either way, we can go with handsome #1 and #2. They look a lot alike in person and it ended up being one placenta, so it looks like they may be identical, but the placenta will be biopsied either way and then we should know for sure. Just FYI :). Here they are (top 2 Case):

My Big Preschooler!

So, although she will be in preschool next year too, my baby girl started her first year of preschool this year!!! She was pretty darn excited to be in school. It's touch and go from week to week if she will tell you she LIKES school or not, but overall, she has had a lot of fun. She realizes that Stetson stays home with Mommy while she goes to school and that tends to cause a few waves, but just wait until she has 3 brothers at home and she's begging to leave the house 5 days a week for two hours instead of just 3. Ha,ha!
Here is a pic of her FIRST DAY as a little preschooler!!! She actually smiled--YAY!

Bed Rest

Yes, you read that title correctly. I am now on bed rest. It is awesome. And I am lying. ha,ha
So, I slept horrible on Sunday and didn't wake up feeling any better on Monday morning. I was having contractions, but I'm always having contractions, so I didn't pay much attention. I went to my appointment on Monday morning and they hooked me up to the monitors, as they do twice a week now. This time however I was having a lot of contractions and they could not get a solid reading on baby b. After checking me they discovered I was dilated to a 1 and my doc sent me over to the birth center to get things stopped. After spending all day in the hospital and having 3 doses of medication to stop my contractions, they hadn't stopped and although I was not comfortable, I was still only dilated to a 1. The shot they gave me did help slow my contractions down to every 20 minutes instead of every 10 and I was sent home on bed rest until 36 weeks, which is a week from Thursday.
As big of a pain in the tush (literally) as it is to be on bed rest and need people to come in and help me with the kids through the day and have Scott do EVERYTHING (which he is amazing at), I am feeling quite a bit better and my contractions have slowed down a lot...as long as I stay down. My luck is that they will lift all of the restrictions at 36 weeks and have to induce me at 38 weeks. Would NOT be comfortable for me, but would be even better for the babies. I'm confident that whatever needs to happen will happen, but I really want these little guys to stay in until at least 36 weeks so I will just be chillin' on my hind end for a while.
I haven't taken another belly pic, so I'll get on that soon. I lost our camera charger so at the moment we are without a camera. Yah, prego brain?? Not sure that big of an oops qualifies under the pregnancy excuse, but it's the only one I have. We did Haddyn's birthday party last month so that she would be able to have one so I will get pics posted of that soon too. Hope everyone is well!!!

New Updates

So we had our 32 week ultrasound last week and everything still looks great! It was a different U.S. tech and we didn't get great pics, any 4D or a CD this time so no pics, but the stats were great!
Baby A measured at 4 lbs 7 oz and Baby B measured at 4 lbs 4 oz. The weight estimations get less and less reliable as I get farther along, but the good thing is that they continue to grow evenly and seem to be sharing everything equally! Baby A is now head down and Baby B is transverse/posterior, meaning he is laying sideways again with his little back up to my belly. Not a comfortable position for his Mommy if I might add.

I am the size I usually get at 9 months pregnant and I am always tired and feel like I can't move about 90% of the time, but besides that, everything is great :) Most importantly, these boys continue to grow and move and shake. I am now at twice a week appointments for non-stress tests on the babies and although it is great how close of an eye they keep on me and the babies, it sure makes this process seem LONG! We are nearing the end however...5 weeks left tomorrow, but who's counting??? :)

Oh yah, I'll include this....today I was cutting Stetson's hair and let him hold the clippers while I moved on to the scissors. He wanted them on and so like a retard, I turned them on and immediately started telling him that he could only touch his fingers with the clippers. Well, it took him about .00002 seconds to put them to his forehead TWICE and dig two chunks out, while laughing. With scissors in my hands, there wasn't much I could do. So I just laughed. Could be worse, but seriously, what was I thinking????

30 Weeks

Ultrasound next week w/ stats to follow, but for now here is a new belly photo. This was last week at 30 weeks. I found some belly measurements in my scrapbooking from Haddyn's shower and found that at this moment I am EXACTLY the size I was 12 days before I delivered her. Awesome. Should be a fun 7 weeks of ssttrreettcchhiinngg.... :)

Stetson...

Stetson is a funny little guy. He is such a sweet, loving little boy and he loves cuddling and giving kisses. However, he is also quickly approaching 2--AND acting like it. He is seriously a cute little turd and I guess that is why I am dealing with what I am dealing with right now. He has a "naughty face" that usually means he just did something to hurt, torment or just push one of his sister's buttons. I have yet to capture that one on film.
Anyway, the other day I was doing laundry and Stetson was helping me put the clothes in the dryer. As I started the dryer I heard and thumping/scratching sound against the dryer drum. Well, I had just put a new pair of overalls in there and we don't really wear overalls in this house much, so I figured that was what was making the noise and left. This is what I opened the dryer door to find a couple of hours later...Farmer Brown got quite a ride! Ha!! I seriously just busted up laughing....that's my Stets!!

He loves to watch T.V. Morning, night, whatever...as long as the T.V. is on. I loved this pic of him chillin' one morning just after waking up. He also loves to be like his sister...it is such a cute love/hate relationship. Deep down, they love each other and Haddyn wants to protect Stetson, while Stetson just wants to do what Haddyn is doing. Last, I'm going to post a cute little video of Scott and Stetson reading a book called "Moo, Baa, La La La" Stetson is finally starting to really talk and will try about any word you ask him to. Mommy, Daddy and mostly Haddyn may be the only people who can understand it, but that's okay...that's his favorite group to hang with anyway! HA!
Oh yah, and a video of Scott tickling Stetson. After Scott stops tickling him every time he says, "Ahhh" Enjoy!!

Baby Updates...

We had another ultrasound last week and these boys are growing FANTASTICALLY! They are still growing just as a single baby would and measure on or within a day of due date.

Baby A....
* Still moves more than Baby B and is a pretty spunky little guy
* Cooperated this time and didn't take over an hour just to get his stats (yay!)
* Still in a head down position on R side of abdomen
* Measured at 2 lbs 3 oz and measured with a due date of Nov. 17th (my actual due date)
Baby B....
* Has moved from transverse under my ribs to the L side of my abdomen and was in head down position at ultrasound
* Held still for measurements, but wouldn't move enough for a good 4D pic. He was sucking his thumb and kept his little face tucked down like "Don't bother me, trying to sleep here!"
* Measured at 2 lbs 5 oz with a due date of Nov. 16th
Although both babies were head down at the ultrasound, I had an appt today and they were both breech. Go figure. Basically, I have a 40% chance of being able to deliver them, so here's to hoping!!! They are starting to have more "patterned" sleep/wake cycles. They are actually only awake at the same time a couple of times a day (usually at like 10:30 or 11 at night being one of those times), but that will change when they arrive and Mommy makes them wake up together :) I feel about 8 months prego and have now moved on to new stretch marks. Awesome! Overall, the babies are growing GREAT and for that I am so thankful! My contractions have recently increased, but my blood pressure is still super low, so that is good. I am now done working, so I just really try to remember it's going to be very important to take it easy and listen to my body.

Haddyn and Stets are really excited for babies. Haddyn has finally made the connection between the movement in my belly being real babies, Stetson doesn't have a clue what is about to rock his world. Haddyn still calls them Sawyer and Ryder and Stets just likes to talk to them and kiss them through my belly button. Apparently it's like a microphone for him. Haddyn lifted up my shirt to show our neighbors how squishy the babies are last week. That was awesome. We are now friends on a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. :) Gotta love that sweet little girl. She brightens every day for me. She will start preschool in a week and I can't believe it. Another day, another time. She may kill me some day for posting this, but this is just a little bit of Haddyn being Haddyn. Who else do you know that looks THAT comfy on the toilet? :)

New Bed, Baby Shower & Belly Pic

Big title, I know. I am not great at doing a lot of little posts, so here is one big one :)

First off, we have a new addition to our family this week. Bunk beds. Yes, this has been a big deal around here. We had to let Haddyn think this was all her idea to have bunk beds in her room with her on top and Stetson on bottom. She has NEVER wanted to share her room or space, EVER, so this was a very big deal. We are a week into the transition today and Stets has been great. He goes to bed as easy as he always has and doesn't get out of bed until someone comes to get him, as if he was still in his crib. Sure, they wake each other up occasionally at nap time or in the morning, but overall, he hasn't noticed any difference. Haddyn, on the other hand, decided on the 3rd night that she wanted a bed on bottom in a room by herself. ha,ha It has been a bit of an adjustment for my change-hating daughter. That's okay...she will survive and this little adjustment period (that I knew would come) will be done and over with before two new little adjustments enter her world. :) The cutest part is that Stetson switches his pillow during nap and night time. This pic was at nap, but at night his head is where it is supposed to be. ha,haNext up is the baby shower my Mom and sister threw for me on the 13th. It was a lot of fun! Thanks to all of those who attended and for those of you who did not, I will be expecting my present in the near future. HA!! J/K No, but really, it was a good time had by all and we got some great stuff. Here are some pics--
My friend Erica took apart two "It's A Boy" signs and made this: Very cute and creative! The Shrine of Kelli (and presents) :)Haddyn thinking, "Which should I pick first??"Gold....My bro Shon wrapped this box of diapers in a receiving blanket using safety pins. Then he made a "bow" out of the socks. So cute I couldn't even unwrap it. (there was a crack that wasn't covered on the bottom, so I could see it was diapers without unwrapping it) Don't worry, when the babies come I will move the cute box off of the dresser and use the gold inside.MMMMM--one plate for each baby....Last, but not least...here are some new belly pics from just over a week ago at 26 1/2 weeks.

Baby A & Baby B

I finally put the cd in my computer to upload the ultrasound photos from a couple of weeks ago only to find out he saved some of the most random pics to the cd and a lot of the ones he had printed were missing. Hmm. Oh well...he did save all of the 4D ones, which we had never had before, so I'll post a couple of each of each baby!

Baby A.....
*Very hyper and forceful with his movements.
*Acts like his sister did en-utero
*Has been in my hip since the second he was conceived and is finally too big to stay tucked down so low
*Laying head down along the right side of my abdomen, head just under belly button, feet just under right side of my ribs
*Estimated weight 1 lb 3 oz at 23 weeksScott's nose??Two hands in front of faceSucking his thumb
Baby B.....
*Moves very gently and only when he really needs/wants to (does not seem to enjoy inflicting pain) ha,ha
*Acts a lot like Stets did en-utero
*Has always been transverse
*Laying transverse directly under my ribs with his head on the left side and feet on the right
*Estimated weight at 1 lb 2 oz at 23 weeksKelli's lips??Eyes, nose, lips, and hand

Belly Pics...yes, I acutally AM pregnant

So I am a huge slacker in life overall these days, but I have been a HUGE slacker in this pregnancy. I FINALLY remembered to have Scott take a belly pic a couple of weeks ago at like 12:30 at night. I think I was half asleep and he definitely was, since he had just peeled his sleeping self off of the chair, but oh well---it's all we have ;) May not be pretty, but well, you'll see. First off, here is a pic of 24 wks w/ Haddyn (keep in mind I weighed almost 20 lbs more to begin with during this pregnancy)Next is a pic at 4 days shy of 24 weeks w/ Stetson.Last is the pic at 22 wks w/ two strapping boys growing in my belly.I feel huge. My goal has shifted from working through Sept. two days a week and possibly into Oct. one day a week to working through Aug. two days a week and possibly into Sept. one day a week. This pregnancy has been SO MUCH HARDER. I guess I knew it would be harder, I just didn't think the entire thing would be. Anyway, I am super excited to say we had another ultrasound last Friday and all looks well. I will get some pics up of the babies finally...they gave us a cd this time. Yay!
Well, that's about all I have in me tonight--our internet has been really slow, but I was NOT going to bed until I got this posted. Enjoy! :)
