Blessed

After much reminding from a patient wife, I finally need to write a blog. Kelli and I both feel extremely blessed these pass few months. Many of you know that the bank in Driggs that I had been working at failed April 24th... #38 this year. Just think, I was only working there 8 months...not too shabby. Since then we have been looking elsewhere for a job. I absolutely loved my job at First Bank of the Tetons and the idea of working with the FDIC was not going to be in my future. The night that the bank failed I thought of the bank that I wanted to work for after I graduated last spring. That bank had a Management Training program that really intrigued me, but at the time the program didn't have a start date until November, too long to wait without a job.
Meanwhile, I was given a great opportunity at First Bank and our family found ourselves in Driggs--HOME SWEET HOME!!! The next Monday I sent an application and resume to DL Evans Bank in Burley. On Wednesday I got a call to interview with them for a Special Assets Advisor position they had coming up. The interview went well. The next week I got a call from them wanting me to return to interview for the Management Training program instead. They had felt they wanted me there instead. It turns out that the November start date had been pushed back to June.
Monday, I started the program at DL Evans Bank in Burley. We are moving on Saturday to a little house. We will be there for 6 to 12 months...then end up "somewhere" between Rexburg and Pocatello.
I am humbled to express how much the Lord has blessed our family. We have seen some really special things take part in our life. In this world of uneasiness and struggles for everyone, we have never been happier. We are so excited for this opportunity and I am lucky to have a wife that is there to steady me when I'm weak and pry me up when I crash. She has never once complained about the situation we were in when I was blaming everyone. I have been blessed.
PLUS...I get to see a little boy in a couple of months. See ya soon Stetson

This One's For My MAN!

I have some things to say to my man and because he is a man, he isn't going to listen if I just tell him, so I'll tell EVERYONE!! That is more fun anyway, right? I even changed all the songs on here to all my fave "love" songs. Yes, I know, totally sappy. Oh well, here goes...
See, my man is quite a man. He is my husband, my best friend, my children's father, the provider of our family, the PRIESTHOOD holder of our family and an all around good guy to be around. Because of this man I have some pretty amazing things in my life...first of all, I have my best friend by my side for eternity. Second, I have a beautiful little girl that I will also have by my side for eternity and another little angel on it's way. Third, I have an education, but I also am able to stay at home with our little Haddyn all but two or three days a week while he slaves away at a job that he actually hates right now. I could go on all day.
We are awaiting some news on a job this week and I'm stressin', so I'm sure he's stressin' (although he never says so). Regardless of what happens with this job, first of all I know it will be whatever is best for our family and I want you to know babes...I am proud of you and I look up to you for your determination and all you are. It may not get you a job, but now you know :) Enough of the embarassment for now, Love...so here it is----I am so blessed and I want you to know I appreciate all you do for me and for our family. I love you more than I could ever write or say and I am so proud of the man you are. Thanks for loving me in the most perfect way possible!
Well, sorry you all had to endure that and don't worry, I don't do this very often and you'll never have to read anything like this from Scott, cause that's just not the kinda guy he is. But don't worry babe....I know ;)

Temple Square Trip

I was doing SO well with keeping my posts updated, but if I continued with that, then what fun would it be for all of you faithful viewers?? Just Kidding! I do have a fairly good excuse(s) though. It all started about 3 weeks ao. See, I was just starting to feel better pregnancy wise (you know, constant nausea, fatigue and all around feeling like poo) and Haddyn and I contracted strep throat about 3 days apart from one another. Fun stuff. At this point I had a friend say, "Yah, it always comes in 3's, doesn't it?" Well, I blame the fact that it did not end with 2 on her. Three days after I finished my antibiotics for strep throat, which I might add knocked me on my butt for a solid 5 days, I got a nasty instant sinus infection. Holy cow, I have NEVER had so much pain with a sinus infection EVER! I felt like I had gotten hit in the right side of my face with a softball going like 100 mph. Needless to say, I am finally getting over that, I think. I am always so sick when I am pregnant...put me in a bubble!!!
Anyway, enough whining...but now you all know what our house has been up to :) Still no news on the job, but we hope to know on one of the jobs Scott has been interviewing for by the end of next week. Wish us luck and keep us in your prayers! Also, we find out what we're having next week, so we're excited for that. However, we just hope to find out all is well with the baby first and foremost!
I have a lot of events I need to blog on and this one is going to be dedicated to our last trip with our friends Taylor and Sarah before they moved to Colorado a couple of weeks ago. We took them to Utah the beginning of May to go to Temple Square again, which we had already taken them there last year, but this time our point was to see the Joseph Smith movie. Scott and I had already seen it, but Taylor and Sarah had not. They are not members of the church, so it was fun to give them that perspective and that experience. They really seemed to enjoy it, although it was a little more religious then we usually get with our activities :) They are great friends and they have always been so respectful of our faith and our way of life, whether they understand or agree with it or not and we sure hope we have always done the same!! We know we will miss them being so close, but I guess we're headed to Colorado this summer!
So we drove down to Utah late Friday night and stayed at my sister's house in Tooele and left Saturday morning into Salt Lake. My sister watched Haddyn for us while we were gone all day, which was awesome for us and her! This pic is of my niece Morgan pushing Haddyn around in a doll stroller. It was really funny, Haddyn loved it! Once we got into Salt Lake we had some time before the movie started, so we took a roof tour of the Conference Center. That was something else we weren't able to do at our last Temple Square trip because it was winter. However, it was awesome they were able to see the lights in the winter and the beautiful flowers in the spring...good times! Here are some pics from Temple Square...Since this picture looked like Scott was being molested by his fat, pregnant wife, we went with a close up. Scott DID NOT want to take this picture, but look how cute it turned out!And no, I don't know who the bride and groom are in this photo, but they were crawling out of the wood work. We couldn't go anywhere without running into another newly married couple...'tis the season!!!Once we had our fun at Temple Square and the Gateway Mall we met my sister, her girls and Haddyn at Benihana's restaurant for dinner. YUM! This is how the boys and girls spent their time waiting...Haddyn was such a grump in the restaurant and could not sit still or even stand herself. This is where she eventually ended up, feet on the table and all. Good times!!At the end of the night we took a fun group photo and headed back to Idaho. It was a great trip and we miss Taylor and Sarah already. Sarah got a new job at a news station in Colorado Springs, which is basically back home for them, so we are very excited for them, but we will miss them soooo much!!! Good luck guys!!
