Another Update

Here is another update on the fam:
My dad went home tonight!! It was a lot quicker than any of us expected, but he's doing so well they kicked him out. :) I'm sure he will feel much better at home.
Both of our babes have been sick all week and are still trying to fight it off. Of course I have been home with them for almost 5 months straight and they get sick 3 days before I left for a week. Oh well. We were supposed to go to a youth activity yesterday in Utah for the day, but we stayed home to rest and try to aide in the recovery of the little ones. Not that I argued, I was tired too!
Our budget came in where we needed it to and our loan should be done by the end of this next week. Scott has struggled with the process of the consumer loan and all of new regulations they have. We are hoping to be framing in two weeks. Wish us luck--I am already seeing how it takes two months more than planned to finish building and we haven't even started!
That's about it. Scott's Christmas present is this week--Michael Buble concert--so I'll let you know how it goes! I'll get some new pics on soon too.

Our Pops'

I just thought I'd get a quick post up to let everyone know that both our Pops' are doing great. Scott's dad has been home from the hospital and back to his grumpy tax time self (he,he) for about a week and a half and my dad's surgery went great yesterday. They did a triple bypass, but didn't actually have to use the bypass machine because his heart was so strong. That was great because he has kidney disease and only 50% of one kidney works, so using the bypass machine was going to be very rough on his poor little kidney. Anyway, he is supposed to be up and walking this afternoon, about 28 hours after surgery, and that is great!! He was even pestering the nurses last night when my mom left and that means he's well on his way to "himself".

Not much time to write more, but just thought I'd let ya'll know. Thanks for checkin' in and thanks for all of your prayers!!!

What's Goin' On

So, this will be a little post, but I told you I'd get one done before I leave and darn it, I'm gonna! We have had another busy couple of weeks. Scott's dad ended up with cellulitis in his leg last week and my dad ended up needing to have a cardiac cathaterization (spelling?) done and so we made the rounds between Driggs and Blackfoot to visit our pops. Scott's dad is home and doing much better now and my dad is home for now, but they found 5 significant blockages and he is going in for triple bypass surgery next Wednesday. He has kidney disease, so that is a big worry added to the worry with the surgery already, but we are hoping and praying all will go well. We are really glad they found it before he had a heart attack or stroke as well. Keep him in your prayers for us though!

As far as the house goes...Scott has lost his "loan" touch when he is putting together his own loan so we were supposed to close on Monday, but he forgot we needed an appraisal first. Silly Scotty. We should be closing by the next Monday though and hopefully they will be framing in two weeks. We are very excited and pretty nervous too. Big steps! We can't wait to have so much room though! Scott has put all of the paint colors and most of the inside of the house stuff in my hands, which the only one that has come up is the color of the flooring and cabinets in the kitchen and he already didn't like what I chose, so we'll see how this goes! What doesn't kill you (or make you kill your spouse) only makes you stronger.....right???? :)

The kids are great. I got a couple of PRN jobs between Burley and Twin Falls that I will start when I get back from Arco in two weeks, so that is exciting. Guess that's about all! Stetson is not rolling over or sitting up or even barely holding his head up on this tummy, but he sure giggles cute! Ummm, what else? Oh yah, I got put in as Young Women's Secretary last week and that has been fun. I have never been to Young Women's, so it is all new for me. Wish me luck there! Haddyn is learning all of her letters and the sounds they make and as always, she keeps us laughing and LOVES her T.V. I have created a monster. We had play date last week with who I believe is her first boyfriend...Fisher...and she laid on the floor after we were there for like 2 hours and said, "Mom, I'm bored, I wanna watch T.V." Nice.

Sorry...

Okay, this is a post for all of our trusty followers that I have SEVERELY let down with my lack of posting recently. I have some small excuses, but if it makes anyone feel better this is the first time I've actually been on the internet in two weeks. I can't even say I am caught up on all of your blogs, cause well, I haven't looked at those in over 2 weeks either! Slacker!!

I am officially back to work now for this week and I was so worried about it and I have actually loved it! I missed my job and didn't even really realize it :) I was gone from Friday morning last week until Monday and home Tuesday to leave again at 6 am Wednesday and I did not come home until Friday night. Anyway, to make an already long story a little shorter...I have been lacking on TIME! We have been in the process of trying to find a house, which has now moved to finding land to build a house on. We will hopefully know if our bid is going to come in within our budget by Wednesday, so wish us luck!!

Stetson and Haddyn are doing great. Stetson had his 4 month well check last week and he is now 16 1/2 lbs!! He's my little chubs and I love it...except when I'm carrying him in his car seat! Haddyn didn't weigh this much until she was like 9 months old, so I wasn't carrying her around in a seat anymore. UGH! Haddyn is as sassy as ever and of course keeps us laughing. One of her latest comments went down like this....Her little friend Jackson had been over to play with her one night and she was in bed with Scott cuddlingbefore bed. She said, "Daddy, Jack pushed me." (she calls him Jack) Scott replied with, "I'm sorry." To which Haddyn then replied, "Why do you suppose he did that?" NOT KIDDING! Scott just tried not to laugh and said, "I don't know honey." Classic.

Anyway, it's been like 3 days of me trying to get this posted now, so I'm going to attach a few pics and a video and make myself try again soon. :)

This video is of Haddyn making Stetson laugh...it was totally accidental and way cute. He loves her!

This one is Stetson's favorite game. He covers his face with his taggie blanket and waits for you to pull it down and does it all over again. It's hilarious! I can't leave loose blankets in his crib or he covers his face and grunts. Silly kid!

Overload of videos today, but here is Skip to my Lou according to Haddyn and then Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star before she gives Scott and I our "cookies" and puts us to bed. She tells me to "Close my little eyes" at the end just like I tell her when I put her to bed. Beware...they copy EVERYTHING!

Here are a few photos now and I swear I'll be back to update more quickly next time!
