Who Needs Santa?

Last week Scott was taking the kids to the sitter and he was explaining to Haddyn that if she wasn't nice to the kids then Santa wouldn't bring her anything for Christmas. So Haddyn sat there thoughtful for a second and then she replied, "Jesus is a pretty good guy, I bet he'll bring me something." Classic. At least she understands Christmas isn't just about Santa, but Jesus too. The best part is that Scott is very well known for not being chumped or "one upped"...he always has the last word and the last joke. Not with his 3 year old. Ha,ha. The other best part is the fact that Scott has been waiting for 3 years to use the Santa card and well, it lasted about 20 seconds. Poor Scotty Potty. :)
Also new on the forefront...I finally couldn't stand it anymore and went against my loving husband's wishes and trimmed Stetson's mullet. I warned him it was coming so it shouldn't have been a total surprise to him. It looks so cute an he's a boy now!!!

Haddyn's hair was out of control too:

So she got a cut at the same time. She wouldn't leave her ponies and clips in and I got sick of the fight, plus her hair is a lot like mine and it get stringy when it's long. Observe:

Stetson also said his first word last week. What was it you ask? NO, of course! He has also said Hi since then. It's nice to see him starting to communicate. It's so funny how different he and Haddyn have been. She was repeating anything you'd say to her by now and had been signing for months, but not little man. It's been a learning experience for us, but I think we ARE actually learning something so that makes it okay right? He gives the cutest kisses now too, but I still haven't been able to get a video yet. There's a little update with our clan, be back with more soon!

ONE YEAR OLD!!!

Look who's one! Did I blink? The second baby grows so much faster, don't they? Sheesh, will I literally blink once and miss the fourth child's first year? Enough of that...ready or not--Stetson turned 1 on the 29th of October! This little guy is seriously the most smiley and cheesy kid out there. He is so much his Father's personality it's not even funny. He is easy going, totally all about chill-axing and will do absolutely ANYTHING for a laugh. He started walking about 5 weeks ago and he has been a pro since day one. I was expecting that though because he pretty much thought he could walk at 8 months and started letting go of what he was standing up to and would fall face first, laugh, and try again. He is non-stop and all about climbing, throwing whatever he can get his hands on and of course...laughing. Haddyn loves her little brother and he loves her right back, most often :) He has 8 teeth, with the 9th on it's way, and he loves to use them to bite whatever is within his grasp. (including fingers, faces, arms, etc.) He is just barely starting to sign and says Ma and Da. Beyond that he is not interested in communication of any sort :) He and Haddyn are SO different, but they are so much fun. Have I mentioned I love my kids?????

I couldn't decide which of these to use...the first he was 1 day old and the second he was 4 days old. Such a cute little man!Happy Birthday Stets!!!

Happy 1, no 2, no 3!!!!

My little sweet girl is 3. Oh my heart just melted. I may be a puddle when she's like 7. Oh well. Anyway, I know I'm a little late on this too, but Haddyn turned 3 on the 20th of October. Yay for my big girl. Oh, and on a side note, 3 is so worse than 2. Please tell me they grow out of it....please??? Good thing she's cute!!! :)
I know I do this every year, but I just love looking at my babes as they grow each year...so here is a walk through time...
3 days--1 year--2 years--3 years!!!What a big girl!! She still amazes me every day with what she learns and how she grows. She is such a smart girl and I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE her :) Yay for her picking me as her Mommy!

Happy Halloween!!!

So, in an effort to just post SOMETHING, I am skipping the house post until further notice and posting about Halloween. I'll get to the house, I just don't have all the pics I need and etc, so instead of posting nothing and getting all the farther behind, here goes!!!
This year for Halloween we let Haddyn choose what she wanted to be after telling her that Stetson was going to be the sheep or lamb that she was when she was his age. Well, she said, "I want to be Little Bo Peep then, and Stetson will be my lost sheep!!" And so it was....Cute eh?? Haddyn would walk around the house saying, "Come here lost sheep!!" We had our friends Travis and Laci and their two little ones come over for dinner and trick-or-treating! Super fun!! It got cold and rainy though, not so much fun. But, the perk is that when you're trick-or-treating with kids under the age of 4, they don't care if you only hit up 10 houses in a two block radius and call it a night!! This being the second year in running for my little homemade lamb and needless to say boys ARE harder on things than girls are. It took Stetson about 35 seconds to figure out how to pull the cotton balls off. By the end of the Halloween night Stetson was losing about a cotton ball every minute and man, that poor costume just looked, well, Scott liked to use the term "nappy". Pretty much sums it up. He kind of needed to be sheered. He kept leaving little "droppings" on the sidewalk. HA!! It was pretty cold, so my poor son was wearing pink tights with little hearts all over them under this costume. Pink was all I could find in the right size. Sorry buddy. And of course I had to document it. :) Here he is wearing pink, proud and look how excited he is about the CANDY!!! I love the look of anticipation in his eyes! Here are the other little kiddos enjoying a little of their spoils....Overall...all kinds of fun!! I kind of have a bias, BUT I think these two are pretty darn cute myself!

This One's For Nicole!!

Hello all, sorry for the delay! Life is absolutely crazy and out of control, but I promised my dear friend Nicole that I would post today and include a few new pics...so here I am! This will be a quick one and I'll have to come back later with some details, but here goes.

We will be moving into our new house on Sept. 11th and right now I am in Blackfoot again for two weeks working in Arco, but Scott is at home hard at work to finish the painting and the 2nd half of the tub surround, which is all that we have left to finish before move in date. Here are some newer pics, but unfortunately it is changing so fast now they are not all the way up to date anymore.

Stetson had 7 teeth and is so close to walking and Haddyn's new favorite question is "But why?" She loves to sing and read and has such an active imagination.

Home Away From Home

So much for keeping up on posts, right? We are just on the mend from some nasty virus that made it's way through our ENTIRE house. Man, it was not pretty. It ended up costing Scott a day of work, 2 days of work for me, Haddyn and Stetson eye infections, and 2 ear infections a piece to boot. Like I said... Nasty! Besides Stetson getting 3 teeth at once (all on top) right now, we're all doing great!
I have been in Blackfoot all last week and I'm in Arco working right now. (Scott got me a cool App I can blog on my phone with!) Scott is still trying to tackle the siding on the new house and we are in the middle of the dreaded task of picking paint and tile. I will hopefully start painting next Monday for the one week I'm home of the month before I come back to Blackfoot again. Here's a new pic of the front with the sidewalks and driveway poured--thanks for the help Josh!!

And here is one side all done with siding.

It's coming right along! Life is pretty good and the kids are doing really well too. Here is the latest from Haddyn: Stetson is crying in the back seat and I'm singing primary songs to him. He continues to cry and Haddyn says to me, "Mommy, I don't think he likes your singing." Stetson has two teeth on the bottom up and looking cute and biting nicely and three trying to come in on top. He is as happy as always. Oh yah, and he pulled himself up to the side of the tub for the first time last week. Sniff, sniff. I'm not ready for my baby to grow up. My other baby is on her way to 3 years old. Ouch, my heart.

Here's Haddyn asleep in my bed. So cute too look at, NOT to sleep with.

That's all for now!!!

Head Games?

I'm going to post a couple of little videos really quick. The first one is of Haddyn making Stetson laugh by hitting her head against the window repeatedly. She figured out this would make him laugh one day by accidentally bonking her head while trying to look out of the window and Stetson laughed, so it has turned into a game. I think it would hurt, but I guess she does have some of her Dad's personality in her...anything for a laugh!!

The next one is of Stetson's cute little "drink face", as we call it. It's so funny. He made it one day after taking a drink and it's so cute, of course I encouraged it and now we have a super cute face on cue!!!

That's about all for now, I have about 2 hours of dishes waiting for me on my counter. Yah, I CANNOT wait for a dishwasher---one that is not my hands : ) There are a few things that I would give up with this new house, but the dishwasher IS NOT ONE!! I will go wash away while I dream of my better day to come with a powerful machine that washes and dries my dishes for me. Ahhh....

SUN!!!

Well, not to complain because I'm sure the 100 degree weather is just around the corner, but summer has been very slow coming on this end of the world and we are all very ready for some sun! Finally there was a sunny day and we took full advantage! Here are some pics of Stetson's first really sunny day. He didn't really know what to think about the brightness of it all, but of course, he was as smiley as always!! Haddyn wasn't cooperating with the camera, also as always, but here they are...P.S.- Yes, I'm aware Stetson's hat is too small, but it's all I have and it's better to look a little goofy then not have one on at all, right? Oh yah, and Haddyn is eating Dananino yogurt frozen on a spoon (anyone seen the commercial?) and it really works and she LOVES it!!!

Haddyn Style

I know, I know. I suck. I understand, it's okay. But really, I have been super busy, so back off! J/K I am hoping to catch up with little posts over the next week though before I leave to Blackfoot again for 2 more weeks. Last week I did swimming lessons with Haddyn and she did pretty well. I wish we would have gotten her in last year so she would be a little less dramatic and scared, but she really loosened up by the end of the week and even did a motor boat with her mouth in the water! I have her signed up for another set in August and I think she will love those even more.
Anyway, here is our little darling walking around before church last Sunday in her panties. I walk into the living room with her clothes and she is dancing and singing. Check this out:Classic!! I love her so much. She is so her Mother... Sorry the second photo is a little blurry, I was totally bummed because that captures what she was doing the best! If you can't quite tell, she has each of her hands down the legs of her panties and she's flapping her hands while she sings and dances. When I first walked in and snapped the first pic before she realized I was there she was also carrying the bucket in one hand. Seriously, that girl is one of a kind! More later...

Looks Kinda Like A House

So, this whole house thing is a pretty slow process with wind, rain and overall nastiness! But, although it has taken quite a while, it is actually starting to look like a house! There is the sheathing ? -the boards on the trusses- all over the house now and the driveway and sidewalk area has been dug out, but other than that these are pretty up to date photos.
Entire front of house...garage on the right, two bedrooms on left:
Rear of house, master bed on far left, covered patio and kitchen (bay window) on right:Standing in kitchen facing bathroom, two bedrooms and front door:Standing in kitchen facing living room, master bed, and laundry with door to garage:We're right in the middle of choosing the shingle, stucco, siding, and rock colors. You'd think that would be fun, if you weren't in the middle of the arguments and stress of doing it. Ha,ha To me it's like picking your kid's names, it is fun and there are so many to choose from, but it's theirs FOREVER and therefore it gets really hard when you get right down to it. Scott will tell you I am difficult and argue everything, but I'm telling the story darn it and ACTUALLY it's that Scott is very stressed and has no patience for my completely useful questions. :)
We're hoping the weather will clear up and warm a little by the beginning of next week so Scott can get the tar paper and shingles on. Of course it was beautiful and 80 degrees last week, but we're expecting nothing over 50 for the weekend. And so it continues....
Think of all the space Kelli, think of your OWN house Kelli, just keep thinking happy thoughts Kelli.... ;)
