Spring Break

For spring break this year we stayed at a resort in Clear Lake, California for 5 days and it was so much fun! We went with our friends Taylor and Sarah and get this, they still like us! We drove to Reno Friday and made the rest of the trip Saturday. On our way back, we left California at 3:30 A.M. to shorten the trip for Haddyn. She did awesome...on our way home. The last 100 miles to Reno she screamed and screamed. It was great fun...especially for Taylor and Sarah. They may never have children : )

While there we spent a day in San Francisco and a day touring vineyards in Napa Valley. We stopped at the museum at Donner Pass and both found churches to attend Sunday in a nearby town. We ate way too much food and spent all kinds of money and had so much fun doing it. In fact, Sarah and I had the most expensive side salad we'll hopefully EVER eat...9 stinkin' dollars! I would have taken a picture if I knew how much it was before I ate it. Actually, I wouldn't have GOTTEN it if I would have know how much it was ahead of time, but hey, livin' it up right?

We had tons of fun in San Fran, but there were 2 highlights. 1st...we were going to take the cable car up to Lombard St. but it was going to cost almost $40 for our little family of three, plus stroller and car seat. Hmmm, after the $9 side salad, we were pretty broke. So, we looked at the map and it was only 4 blocks away---we can walk that! Didn't know it was 4 blocks straight up!

2nd...I had just finished feeding Haddyn in an entry to an apartment complex, which was the only bench we could find not surrounded by 500 people. I handed her to Scott to hold while I put the baby holder thingy on and she had a slight projectile moment. BUT, she missed her own clothes!! Good girl : ) Needless to say, my Mom's "prize" got worn and washed before she ever got it!

It was great fun and we had awesome friends to go with who were totally easy going and luckily not bothered by Scott mostly, but they even loved our screaming baby. We can't wait to do something like this again, but it will most likely be A WHILE, so guess we'll just have to keep this trip near and dear to our hearts!
