I'm excited to say that Haddyn's room is now decorated and all of the projects I had planned before she was even born are finally complete!
Her name on the wall started as wooden letters and Scott and I painted them and then I glued some cute paper on them and inked the edges. It was time consuming, but look how cute it is now!!
My most proud accomplishment of all is her window valance. This started as 4 large pieces of material and I cut it into the pieces, pinned it together and then used a friends sewing machine (which I had to wind the bobbin and thread it myself) and sewed it all together and added the ribbon along the edge. You all have to understand that I JUST learned how to sew last summer when I was pregnant and feeling domesticatable. (New word!) Anyway, it is quite an accomplishment and I'll brag all I want cause I'm proud of myself. I was SO excited and hung it up and when Scott came home I made him go in a look and he had this to say, "cool". Imagine this in the most monotone voice possible. Pretty much.
Well, that's the story of Haddyn's room. It may not seem like much, but I'm pretty stoked about the whole thing. Who would have thought I could make things!! I'm going to include a pic of Haddyn playing with her new ball that she loves. Daddy thought he'd let her play with it while we were at the store and then put it back and well, we were introduced to fit throwing at the ripe age of 7 months....she won.

it is awesome. I have yet to attempted curtains. I think you did a wonderful job. She is adorable.
I love that last picture of her! That is so cute. I want to hold her- come over. I love the name, as you already know and the curtains are great! You will need to do mine when I have one.

you did such a fabulous job and so unique too! I love how that curtain has john deer logos on it, country girl passing down to her daughter. I LOVE it! Only one thing concerned me though, is your daughters changing table on a freezer?!? Haha thats awsome! just dont put her in it! lol so where did you get that adorable quilt that is in her bed? and also on the changing table? If someone made them for you then you better stay close friends with them cuz i want one when i have kids!!!
you guys are just adorable and i love you.
Kelli, I'm impressed with the valance! All I've made is a quilt square and thought I deserved some kind of an award after it was all over :). Looks like you guys are doing great, can't wait to see you (hopefully Christmas at the latest)!
I dont care how long it took you, at least the project is done! And good job!
Good job kelli I am also planning on making curtins for our baby's room. also good job on the letters you did good.
