All is well with the whole fam damily these days and we FINALLY closed on our lot and construction loan so we started the framing process yesterday!! Yay!! We are very excited, well, actually, Scott is crapping a brick and probably would have backed out already if it hadn't been for me by his side (too much money involved for him)--but I keep reminding him it's time for us to stop paying someone else's mortgage and pay our own! We've started the process of picking out our stucco and rock colors and our flooring inside. I just can't wait for all of the room!!! It is going to be a long summer getting us into though, so if you think I've been bad at posting lately here's your warning it isn't going to get much better! Sorry!! However, anyone who wants to come help me lay tile and paint or help Scott put flooring, siding, or rock on is more than welcome at our house! :)
Here are pics of DAY 1:I am working a couple of days a week here in Burley and it is so nice to work in the same town that I live. Believe it or not, I have NEVER done that before (since becoming a PTA at least). I am in the process of starting another PRN job in Twin Falls though, so it will be short lived, but appreciated! Scot is still truckin' in his program and taking some classes on the side. He is super stressed with the house stuff, but he'll make it! The weather is really starting to perk up here, not that we ever had any snow anyway, but it's getting warmer and warmer and becoming more like spring every day! I love it!! It is really windy here though and I could live without that, but the mild winter was AMAZING and I guess only time will tell if Scott will ever transplant me back to a wintery and snowy place again.
Haddyn is still our little Haddyn. Yesterday I was singing a song we had just heard in the car and she said to me "Mommy, come here and talk to me." So, I walked over to her and she says, "We are not to sing, Mommy. Okay?" Can anyone guess who tells her "come here and talk to me" when she's doing something she's not supposed to? Pretty much. Her other new thing is telling Scott and I "You need to be nice." Scott though that was hilarious because it all started when I was arguing (playfully) with him about rock to go on the house and Haddyn tells me from the back seat, "Mommy, you need to be nice to Daddy." Well, since then it has blossomed into telling him to be nice to her and it's not as funny to him anymore. Imagine that. :)
Stetson is as happy and sweet as ever. I am SO SCARED to find out what is coming next to me in the form of a baby, because there is NO way that one can be blessed with two children this good. Well, I'll take what I get, but let's just say I'm in no hurry to find out! He just started rolling over from his back and then he gets really mad because just as he always has, he still hates his tummy. He LOVES Haddyn and I love watching them together. He just started eating cereal a few nights ago too and he really isn't sure what to do with it and he gets more distracted with his fingers and toes, but he'll get there.
Guess that's about all. I'll post some pics on here and finish getting ready for work. Hope life is great for all of our readers and please, please hang in there with my slacking...I'll post as often as I can--I promise!
Here is Stetson right after his 3rd time rolling over...he still looks a little scared and like a beached whale. I was getting his jammies on him and he just about took out the wall.I just found these and I had totally forgotten about them. Haddyn had decided she was going to the beach for the day (it was like 4o degrees outside) and so she wanted her life jacket suit on over her clothes. In this picture she is saying, "Come on maggots, we're goin' to the beach!" She was of course talking to the magNets, but it came out maggots. So funny. Here she is in the whole get-up on her way outside, well, minus the coat. Seriously, weirdness is deeply rooted and completely hereditary.Stetson just being his cute self!
