Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!

Today is Haddyn's 1st birthday! I can't even believe it. Wow, how time flies! It is amazing to me how much our sweet little angel has changed our lives for the better in such a small amount of time. I can remember the path our lives took waiting for the day she would join our small family of two. I can remember as if it were yesterday the "process" of getting her here (and to think I could do it all over again already). Most of all I can remember the second my eyes met hers for the first time and the instantaneous feeling of profound love that I felt in that moment. Children are AMAZING!!! Scott and I have been so very blessed to have Haddyn in our lives. She has brightened our every day since the day she showed herself to us as a single word on a stick.

Although we have had moments already that have tried our patience and caused us to grow physically, mentally and emotionally, and with the realization that we will forever have situations such as these, I can say with confidence that she is a blessing adding joy to our existance, our marriage and our family as a whole.

I'm including a fun little assortment of photos from Haddyn's first little week of life to her 1 year pics...I tried to put one from each month, but there are a couple that I couldn't resist putting two on! It's been crazy looking at all these pictures and I can remember them like each one was just taken. She has such a spunky personality (what else is to be expected?) and of course I'd better say that she gets that from me, or Scott will be sure to state so later. I do remember thinking that as long as a little girl didn't get his nose we'd be okay and look how adorable it is on her!!! What do I know??? : )
We sure love our baby girl and we're so thankful for her every single day!! We are so excited to continue the only roller coaster I willingly ride: Parenthood!!

Notice how the pictures get a little more mischevious as time goes on? That's our Laners!!!

Haddyn Elaine, you are such a sweet, special little girl and you are loved more than you will ever be able to comprehend...thank you for choosing us!!!

Haddyn's 1st Steps!!!

Here is a video of Haddyn and some of her first steps. She's getting better on her feet every day and getting more and more brave with her walking...she's growing up so fast!!! I love watching her learn and grow and I'm amazed how much she retains already. I know I'm prejudice, but she is so smart and I'm pretty sure the best thing EVER is teaching her new things and cheering at her every accomplishment--I'm already her biggest fan! It's too bad Scott is missing the day to day "stuff", but he gets to see what seems like huge leaps and bounds once a week.

Haddyn is suffering with her first ear infection and I'd have to say she is not the only one suffering through it, even though she is in pain and that takes presidence. She is doing much better now that she has some meds in her and yesterday was the first day she was back to being our little happy Haddyn we know and love in a week and a half, so we are very thankful for that.

Last night I taught her her first sign-"More". I didn't expect her to catch on, but as I was feeding her yogurt and saying and signing "more" yogurt and on the 5th or 6th bite she started signing her own little interpretation of "more". I was so excited I think I could have hugged and kissed her, but then she would have stopped eating. I'm such a sap!!! I guess it just comes with the territory!! : )

Bath Time

Haddyn absolutely LOVES her bath time!!! Wherever she is in the apartment she makes her way to the bathroom when she hears the water running. It's so cute!

So the other night I have the tub ready and the water running and I turn around to take my ring and watch off and put them on the bathroom counter and, well, this is what I found when I turned back around...We were talking a total of 10 seconds maybe. I couldn't believe it--look how high her leg is!!! She was all about climbing in the tub right there and then! I kept waiting for her to lose her balance and she was totally in control of the situation. I said, "Hey you, what you doin???" and this is the look I got...This was her last desperate moment of composure before meltdown. If I had to interpret her thoughts I'd guess they were saying, "Mom, stop taking dang pictures and let me get in the tub, PLEASE" : ) Always fun in the Moulton house with little Haddyn around!

Dedication to Daddy!!

Scott has officially moved to Driggs and although he just left last night, we miss him SO much already!!! I just wanted to post a few cute pics of Haddyn and her Daddy to show how much fun they have together. Sometimes I just can't understand how he can question why she never wants to play "calm" games with Daddy : ) Enjoy!!!

"Pimp Daddy" style...What's wrong with you, Dad?Let's make the same face!Tickles....And Kisses...

LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

Is This My Nose??

So, I have recently been in trouble for not updating our blog very consistantly. Sorry!! Well, school has started again for me and guess what??? Scott got a job!! Offer and all!! He got a job at First Bank of the Tetons in Driggs and obviously, that is where we are meant to be. This is my piece of humble pie : ) It will be very pretty though...here are some pics of "the valley" as they call it. How'd I do...sound convincing?

Anyway, Scott starts on September 15th and will be living in Driggs with his parents while Haddyn and I stay in our apartment in Poky until December when I finish my last semester and then Haddyn and I will move up to Driggs/Victor area with Scott. It will be a long semester, but it will very worth it to have a degree!! (Not to mention the fact that our apartment will stay so clean all week--HA!)

On to the next part....Haddyn finding two little holes on her face. It's quite funny. When she gets tired and is eating she just starts a pickin'.

Exhibit A: (I never knew this was here...did you?)

Exhibit B: (This doesn't feel natural)

Exhibit C: (Look what I found!)

and finally, Exhibit D: (I can multi-task!!)
Adorable isn't it??? Yes, yes, it does provoke much laughter and although there will come a point we will need to discourage this behavior, we pretty much laugh at it right now. Guess she has no hope in not being a dork like both of her parents--Go Figure!! Poor thing, and to think she CHOSE us! : )
Well, I'm going to leave you with a couple of random "Haddyn" pics. As you can see, her best moments occur at feeding time. We should shoot a couple of her fits at feeding time and post those! Enjoy the pics!
