A Couple of Videos

Well, good thing I warned all y'all that my blogging skills would be severely lacking these next few months cause well, they are! The weather has not been our friend with the house and we are slowly coming near the end of framing. Today was the 8th day the wind was blowing over 20 mph. It stinks so bad!! Why do I live in Idaho again???
Anyway, here are a couple of videos. The first one is of Stetson in the shower last night. He "laps" the water in hyper mode. So funny!!

Next is Haddyn's version of Old McDonald, complete with the head shake.

This video shows how ticklish Stetson's feet are.

If You Build It, They Will Come

All is well with the whole fam damily these days and we FINALLY closed on our lot and construction loan so we started the framing process yesterday!! Yay!! We are very excited, well, actually, Scott is crapping a brick and probably would have backed out already if it hadn't been for me by his side (too much money involved for him)--but I keep reminding him it's time for us to stop paying someone else's mortgage and pay our own! We've started the process of picking out our stucco and rock colors and our flooring inside. I just can't wait for all of the room!!! It is going to be a long summer getting us into though, so if you think I've been bad at posting lately here's your warning it isn't going to get much better! Sorry!! However, anyone who wants to come help me lay tile and paint or help Scott put flooring, siding, or rock on is more than welcome at our house! :)
Here are pics of DAY 1:I am working a couple of days a week here in Burley and it is so nice to work in the same town that I live. Believe it or not, I have NEVER done that before (since becoming a PTA at least). I am in the process of starting another PRN job in Twin Falls though, so it will be short lived, but appreciated! Scot is still truckin' in his program and taking some classes on the side. He is super stressed with the house stuff, but he'll make it! The weather is really starting to perk up here, not that we ever had any snow anyway, but it's getting warmer and warmer and becoming more like spring every day! I love it!! It is really windy here though and I could live without that, but the mild winter was AMAZING and I guess only time will tell if Scott will ever transplant me back to a wintery and snowy place again.
Haddyn is still our little Haddyn. Yesterday I was singing a song we had just heard in the car and she said to me "Mommy, come here and talk to me." So, I walked over to her and she says, "We are not to sing, Mommy. Okay?" Can anyone guess who tells her "come here and talk to me" when she's doing something she's not supposed to? Pretty much. Her other new thing is telling Scott and I "You need to be nice." Scott though that was hilarious because it all started when I was arguing (playfully) with him about rock to go on the house and Haddyn tells me from the back seat, "Mommy, you need to be nice to Daddy." Well, since then it has blossomed into telling him to be nice to her and it's not as funny to him anymore. Imagine that. :)
Stetson is as happy and sweet as ever. I am SO SCARED to find out what is coming next to me in the form of a baby, because there is NO way that one can be blessed with two children this good. Well, I'll take what I get, but let's just say I'm in no hurry to find out! He just started rolling over from his back and then he gets really mad because just as he always has, he still hates his tummy. He LOVES Haddyn and I love watching them together. He just started eating cereal a few nights ago too and he really isn't sure what to do with it and he gets more distracted with his fingers and toes, but he'll get there.
Guess that's about all. I'll post some pics on here and finish getting ready for work. Hope life is great for all of our readers and please, please hang in there with my slacking...I'll post as often as I can--I promise!
Here is Stetson right after his 3rd time rolling over...he still looks a little scared and like a beached whale. I was getting his jammies on him and he just about took out the wall.I just found these and I had totally forgotten about them. Haddyn had decided she was going to the beach for the day (it was like 4o degrees outside) and so she wanted her life jacket suit on over her clothes. In this picture she is saying, "Come on maggots, we're goin' to the beach!" She was of course talking to the magNets, but it came out maggots. So funny. Here she is in the whole get-up on her way outside, well, minus the coat. Seriously, weirdness is deeply rooted and completely hereditary.Stetson just being his cute self!

Another Update

Here is another update on the fam:
My dad went home tonight!! It was a lot quicker than any of us expected, but he's doing so well they kicked him out. :) I'm sure he will feel much better at home.
Both of our babes have been sick all week and are still trying to fight it off. Of course I have been home with them for almost 5 months straight and they get sick 3 days before I left for a week. Oh well. We were supposed to go to a youth activity yesterday in Utah for the day, but we stayed home to rest and try to aide in the recovery of the little ones. Not that I argued, I was tired too!
Our budget came in where we needed it to and our loan should be done by the end of this next week. Scott has struggled with the process of the consumer loan and all of new regulations they have. We are hoping to be framing in two weeks. Wish us luck--I am already seeing how it takes two months more than planned to finish building and we haven't even started!
That's about it. Scott's Christmas present is this week--Michael Buble concert--so I'll let you know how it goes! I'll get some new pics on soon too.

Our Pops'

I just thought I'd get a quick post up to let everyone know that both our Pops' are doing great. Scott's dad has been home from the hospital and back to his grumpy tax time self (he,he) for about a week and a half and my dad's surgery went great yesterday. They did a triple bypass, but didn't actually have to use the bypass machine because his heart was so strong. That was great because he has kidney disease and only 50% of one kidney works, so using the bypass machine was going to be very rough on his poor little kidney. Anyway, he is supposed to be up and walking this afternoon, about 28 hours after surgery, and that is great!! He was even pestering the nurses last night when my mom left and that means he's well on his way to "himself".

Not much time to write more, but just thought I'd let ya'll know. Thanks for checkin' in and thanks for all of your prayers!!!

What's Goin' On

So, this will be a little post, but I told you I'd get one done before I leave and darn it, I'm gonna! We have had another busy couple of weeks. Scott's dad ended up with cellulitis in his leg last week and my dad ended up needing to have a cardiac cathaterization (spelling?) done and so we made the rounds between Driggs and Blackfoot to visit our pops. Scott's dad is home and doing much better now and my dad is home for now, but they found 5 significant blockages and he is going in for triple bypass surgery next Wednesday. He has kidney disease, so that is a big worry added to the worry with the surgery already, but we are hoping and praying all will go well. We are really glad they found it before he had a heart attack or stroke as well. Keep him in your prayers for us though!

As far as the house goes...Scott has lost his "loan" touch when he is putting together his own loan so we were supposed to close on Monday, but he forgot we needed an appraisal first. Silly Scotty. We should be closing by the next Monday though and hopefully they will be framing in two weeks. We are very excited and pretty nervous too. Big steps! We can't wait to have so much room though! Scott has put all of the paint colors and most of the inside of the house stuff in my hands, which the only one that has come up is the color of the flooring and cabinets in the kitchen and he already didn't like what I chose, so we'll see how this goes! What doesn't kill you (or make you kill your spouse) only makes you stronger.....right???? :)

The kids are great. I got a couple of PRN jobs between Burley and Twin Falls that I will start when I get back from Arco in two weeks, so that is exciting. Guess that's about all! Stetson is not rolling over or sitting up or even barely holding his head up on this tummy, but he sure giggles cute! Ummm, what else? Oh yah, I got put in as Young Women's Secretary last week and that has been fun. I have never been to Young Women's, so it is all new for me. Wish me luck there! Haddyn is learning all of her letters and the sounds they make and as always, she keeps us laughing and LOVES her T.V. I have created a monster. We had play date last week with who I believe is her first boyfriend...Fisher...and she laid on the floor after we were there for like 2 hours and said, "Mom, I'm bored, I wanna watch T.V." Nice.
