Blessed

After much reminding from a patient wife, I finally need to write a blog. Kelli and I both feel extremely blessed these pass few months. Many of you know that the bank in Driggs that I had been working at failed April 24th... #38 this year. Just think, I was only working there 8 months...not too shabby. Since then we have been looking elsewhere for a job. I absolutely loved my job at First Bank of the Tetons and the idea of working with the FDIC was not going to be in my future. The night that the bank failed I thought of the bank that I wanted to work for after I graduated last spring. That bank had a Management Training program that really intrigued me, but at the time the program didn't have a start date until November, too long to wait without a job.
Meanwhile, I was given a great opportunity at First Bank and our family found ourselves in Driggs--HOME SWEET HOME!!! The next Monday I sent an application and resume to DL Evans Bank in Burley. On Wednesday I got a call to interview with them for a Special Assets Advisor position they had coming up. The interview went well. The next week I got a call from them wanting me to return to interview for the Management Training program instead. They had felt they wanted me there instead. It turns out that the November start date had been pushed back to June.
Monday, I started the program at DL Evans Bank in Burley. We are moving on Saturday to a little house. We will be there for 6 to 12 months...then end up "somewhere" between Rexburg and Pocatello.
I am humbled to express how much the Lord has blessed our family. We have seen some really special things take part in our life. In this world of uneasiness and struggles for everyone, we have never been happier. We are so excited for this opportunity and I am lucky to have a wife that is there to steady me when I'm weak and pry me up when I crash. She has never once complained about the situation we were in when I was blaming everyone. I have been blessed.
PLUS...I get to see a little boy in a couple of months. See ya soon Stetson

This One's For My MAN!

I have some things to say to my man and because he is a man, he isn't going to listen if I just tell him, so I'll tell EVERYONE!! That is more fun anyway, right? I even changed all the songs on here to all my fave "love" songs. Yes, I know, totally sappy. Oh well, here goes...
See, my man is quite a man. He is my husband, my best friend, my children's father, the provider of our family, the PRIESTHOOD holder of our family and an all around good guy to be around. Because of this man I have some pretty amazing things in my life...first of all, I have my best friend by my side for eternity. Second, I have a beautiful little girl that I will also have by my side for eternity and another little angel on it's way. Third, I have an education, but I also am able to stay at home with our little Haddyn all but two or three days a week while he slaves away at a job that he actually hates right now. I could go on all day.
We are awaiting some news on a job this week and I'm stressin', so I'm sure he's stressin' (although he never says so). Regardless of what happens with this job, first of all I know it will be whatever is best for our family and I want you to know babes...I am proud of you and I look up to you for your determination and all you are. It may not get you a job, but now you know :) Enough of the embarassment for now, Love...so here it is----I am so blessed and I want you to know I appreciate all you do for me and for our family. I love you more than I could ever write or say and I am so proud of the man you are. Thanks for loving me in the most perfect way possible!
Well, sorry you all had to endure that and don't worry, I don't do this very often and you'll never have to read anything like this from Scott, cause that's just not the kinda guy he is. But don't worry babe....I know ;)

Temple Square Trip

I was doing SO well with keeping my posts updated, but if I continued with that, then what fun would it be for all of you faithful viewers?? Just Kidding! I do have a fairly good excuse(s) though. It all started about 3 weeks ao. See, I was just starting to feel better pregnancy wise (you know, constant nausea, fatigue and all around feeling like poo) and Haddyn and I contracted strep throat about 3 days apart from one another. Fun stuff. At this point I had a friend say, "Yah, it always comes in 3's, doesn't it?" Well, I blame the fact that it did not end with 2 on her. Three days after I finished my antibiotics for strep throat, which I might add knocked me on my butt for a solid 5 days, I got a nasty instant sinus infection. Holy cow, I have NEVER had so much pain with a sinus infection EVER! I felt like I had gotten hit in the right side of my face with a softball going like 100 mph. Needless to say, I am finally getting over that, I think. I am always so sick when I am pregnant...put me in a bubble!!!
Anyway, enough whining...but now you all know what our house has been up to :) Still no news on the job, but we hope to know on one of the jobs Scott has been interviewing for by the end of next week. Wish us luck and keep us in your prayers! Also, we find out what we're having next week, so we're excited for that. However, we just hope to find out all is well with the baby first and foremost!
I have a lot of events I need to blog on and this one is going to be dedicated to our last trip with our friends Taylor and Sarah before they moved to Colorado a couple of weeks ago. We took them to Utah the beginning of May to go to Temple Square again, which we had already taken them there last year, but this time our point was to see the Joseph Smith movie. Scott and I had already seen it, but Taylor and Sarah had not. They are not members of the church, so it was fun to give them that perspective and that experience. They really seemed to enjoy it, although it was a little more religious then we usually get with our activities :) They are great friends and they have always been so respectful of our faith and our way of life, whether they understand or agree with it or not and we sure hope we have always done the same!! We know we will miss them being so close, but I guess we're headed to Colorado this summer!
So we drove down to Utah late Friday night and stayed at my sister's house in Tooele and left Saturday morning into Salt Lake. My sister watched Haddyn for us while we were gone all day, which was awesome for us and her! This pic is of my niece Morgan pushing Haddyn around in a doll stroller. It was really funny, Haddyn loved it! Once we got into Salt Lake we had some time before the movie started, so we took a roof tour of the Conference Center. That was something else we weren't able to do at our last Temple Square trip because it was winter. However, it was awesome they were able to see the lights in the winter and the beautiful flowers in the spring...good times! Here are some pics from Temple Square...Since this picture looked like Scott was being molested by his fat, pregnant wife, we went with a close up. Scott DID NOT want to take this picture, but look how cute it turned out!And no, I don't know who the bride and groom are in this photo, but they were crawling out of the wood work. We couldn't go anywhere without running into another newly married couple...'tis the season!!!Once we had our fun at Temple Square and the Gateway Mall we met my sister, her girls and Haddyn at Benihana's restaurant for dinner. YUM! This is how the boys and girls spent their time waiting...Haddyn was such a grump in the restaurant and could not sit still or even stand herself. This is where she eventually ended up, feet on the table and all. Good times!!At the end of the night we took a fun group photo and headed back to Idaho. It was a great trip and we miss Taylor and Sarah already. Sarah got a new job at a news station in Colorado Springs, which is basically back home for them, so we are very excited for them, but we will miss them soooo much!!! Good luck guys!!

Much Needed Pics Update

WORK UPDATE:
Scott found out Friday that he does not have a permanent job at the Driggs branch of US Bank as of right now, but he was kept on a "transition team" for at least the next 30 days. This is a pain in the butt because we are stuck in waiting mode again, but it is also a good sign because he was the only person who wasn't just let go in his position AND he was the newest employee hired into that position. SO...we're still praying he has a job, but he is keeping his eyes open for other opportunities as well. There is actually a chance the position they want him for will be in Idaho Falls, which would be GREAT, so I guess we'll just hang out a few more weeks and hope it doesn't take them more than 30 days to make up their minds.

Now on to the reason for this post...I have a bunch of random pics that are in need of being posted. Here goes...
Haddyn loves to use her shopping cart as a baby stroller. It's super cute, especially when she gets like 3 babies stacked in there. This day I was getting summer stuff out to wash it and she was pretty psyched about her hat.
Okay, this is one of my faves. She is her Mommy through and through in this pic. HA! She insisted on walking around the house with no pants on, but wearing her new flip flops. Goodness, the force is strong with this one!One day I went in to get Haddyn from her nap and this is how I found her. In the first picture she is singing a song holding her feet. It was comical and of course, she thought so too, so we took pics! We have a bike trailer that we store in the garage and Haddyn LOVES it!! Every time we go outside to play, if we are not going on a bike ride she will go and sit in it for like 30 or 45 minutes playing with the buckles in it. Just another one of her little "things" that make no sense to most of us, but she loves it. Her new helmet just came in the mail so I'm going to have to get some new pics of her wearing it on here!!Haddyn loves to piles things on you if you will lay on the floor with her and Scott has been teaching her to wrestle...lovely for me when he's not home all day :) Here are a couple of pics of Haddyn wrestling her Daddy.
Okay, here are the last of them...Sorry for the abundance of Haddyn pics, but she's pretty dang cute and her personality allows for a lot of "picture perfect" experiences at our house! I can't imagine what it is going to be like with two little angels in our home...it will be amazing I'm sure!! So, it totally looks like she's wearing the same outfit and these were the same day as the last crib pics, but they aren't. We were playing in her room and she wanted put in her crib and she turned into little miss picture queen. It made for some super cute pictures though. Enjoy!!

Fall Down, Go Boom

It's funny I had just posted about Haddyn's first bloody crash, because here we are at our second. Last Friday I went to Rexburg to meet my friend Sarah and see the new movie "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" and Scott was left on Daddy duty for 2 whole hours. Well, this is what I came home to:So the story goes that Haddyn was outside on the deck at Grandma and Grandpa's with the puppy and she tripped over the puppy and fell right on her face, literally. She has big enough lips without swelling, the poor girl. She couldn't swallow or even close her mouth and it looked SO painful. She couldn't even suck her binky, talk about a really bad day! No worries however, all that remains is a bruise on the side of her head and a small cut in her hair and a small amount of swelling on her top and bottom lip. She can suck her binky again though and that is all she cares about. She is such a trooper--we'll try and change the concept of "Daddy time" though :)

She's telling me "Owwww"We tried to get a pic with Haddyn, but she wasn't cooperating, so we just took one of the two of us...this is my man in his new US Bank duds, blue suits him, let's hope they think so too!!Here are a couple of pics of Haddyn in Daddy's shoes. She loves to walk around in Scott's shoes, she is so weird and we totally LOVE that about her!! It's not like she had to go far to learn that trait! (sorry about the red eye in these pics, I didn't want to take the time to correct them or I'll never post them)
